Just in time for pumpkin spice season, passengers at Hobby Airport have one more option to sip their favorite latte while waiting for their flights.
Coffee lovers rejoice! A new Starbucks has opened its doors at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), offering travelers a convenient and refreshing stop. Located in the West Concourse near Gate 1, this Starbucks now ensures all passengers can order their favorite coffee or tea from any of the three concourses at Hobby Airport.
Hot or iced drinks provide the perfect opportunity for passengers to sip and stroll through the airport while they wait for their flights. Hobby Airport features the World's Best Airport Art Program, live musical performances, artists in residence, and cultural collaborations with NASA, Don't Mess with Texas, and the University of Houston Center for Mexican American and Latino/a Studies.
"We are excited to welcome Starbucks to Hobby Airport and offer our passengers another great option for food and beverages," said Libby Hurley, Assistant Director of Concessions for Houston Airports. "This new Starbucks is just the beginning of exciting changes to the first and only 5-Star Skytrax airport in North America."
A second Starbucks location will open in the Central Ticketing Lobby near TSA later this year. An existing Starbucks near Gate 45, Peet's Coffee near Gate 40, and Dunkin' near Gate 27 also provide caffeine boosts to passengers needing a tasty jolt. LaTrelle's Management Corporation is the prime concessions operator of the new Starbucks in the West Concourse. LaTrelle's hosted a small celebration with staff before opening for business at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8.
"At LaTrelle's, we are excited about pairing our operational culture with Starbucks, a brand known for its desire to bring the highest quality offerings to its customers. Starbucks and LaTrelle's share a passion for gourmet coffee and exceptional customer service, and I have every confidence that together we will surpass the expectations of coffee connoisseurs traveling through Hobby Airport," said Cindy James, VP of Corporate Affairs for LaTrelle's Management Corporation.
Starbucks is among the new food and beverage options opening between October and December 2024. The Rustic, Throughgood Bistro, Chick-fil-A and Pei Wei will begin providing world-class customer service and delicious dining options later this year.
"With the addition of these new dining options, Hobby Airport is solidifying its position as a premier travel hub, said Hurley. "This round of openings expands our partnership with local favorites while strengthening our national brand presence, offering passengers an unparalleled dining experience."
