HOUSTON — The Harris County Toll Road Authority has scheduled continuous closures on the Hardy Toll Road, including the Hardy Airport Connector that allows drivers to reach George Bush Intercontinental Airport
Traffic coming to and from Bush Intercontinental may be impacted due to the closure of the Hardy Airport Connector. Drivers should expect delays and plan their route accordingly.
The major closures impacting the Hardy Toll Road include:
The westbound Hardy Airport Connector exit ramp to northbound Hardy Toll Road will be closed beginning Friday, Jan. 29 at 9 p.m. through Tuesday, March 1 at 5 a.m.
Demolition work and pavement repairs will be completed during the closures in preparation for the conversion of the Hardy Toll Road to all-electronic tolling. The Hardy Toll Road is scheduled to be converted to all-electronic tolling by June 2016, which means no cash payment will be accepted in the lanes. Drivers will need an EZ TAG or another interoperable toll tag.
