Travelers passing through the first and only five-star airport in North America can now enjoy even more delicious dining options before boarding their flights, as two new restaurants have opened in the brand-new West Food Court near Gate 1. 

“Bringing new dining options to Hobby Airport is all about creating a wonderful experience for our travelers,” said Francisco Cuellar, Chief Commercial Development Officer for Houston Airports. “Introducing these new restaurants reflects our dedication to offering a variety of delicious and high-quality choices to enhance the passenger journey.” 

Pei Wei offers a mouthwatering selection of Asian-inspired dishes. Whether you are looking for a quick bite or a sit-down meal, their menu is designed to satisfy various appetites.  

Chick-fil-A, a familiar favorite for travelers, has relocated and opened its new location in HOU's West Food Court. Visitors can indulge in classic chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. The previous Chick-fil-A location will be transformed into a Common Bond, offering more exciting options for travelers in the future. 

“We are excited to welcome these new restaurants, which are elevating the airport dining experience by offering travelers more variety, quality, and convenience,” said Libby Hurley, Director of Concessions for Houston Airports. “We want every passenger to find something they enjoy, whether they’re in a rush or have time to relax before their flight.” 

With these openings, Hobby Airport concluded phase 2 of its  ongoing multi-phase concessions improvement project. In 2023, the Houston City Council approved a pair of food and beverage contracts that launched Houston Airports on a trajectory to redefine the airport dining experience with an eclectic and thoughtful mix of iconic local favorites and trusted national brands.
