Houston Airports assisted United Airlines and the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) with getting a lost dog found among almost 200 animals in a hoarding case in Spring, Texas to its rightful owner. Wrangler's owner left him with a friend in San Antonio while he was in military basic training. The friend eventually ended up giving Wrangler away.
Three years later Wrangler was discovered by the Houston SPCA in what they describe as ""among the top five worst cases of living conditions they have ever seen." Fortunately, Wrangler was microchipped and his owner was notified. The owner was sad to know the conditions Wrangler had lived in but happy they would be reunited. And United Airlines, Houston SPCA and Houston Airports helped make that reunion happen at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
