Commercial air service in Houston continues to grow. Southwest Airlines recently announced new destinations from William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), home to one of the airline’s most significant hubs.
Starting Nov. 4, travelers can fly to and from Houston to Burbank, California, Sunday through Friday. That same day, an additional flight on Sunday will be offered to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Sacramento, California. Additionally, Southwest will resume daily international service on Nov. 4 to Liberia, Costa Rica. This fight first started in 2015.
Southwest started service to Milwaukee, WI in March and San Jose, CA in April. The airline also announced plans for new service routes from Hobby to Columbus, Ohio, and Louisville, KY beginning in October.
Passengers can book these flight options through Jan. 6, 2019.
Southwest Airlines is Houston’s second busiest airline.
