The IAH Terminal Redevelopment Program (ITRP) is the largest capital development program that the city has invested in the airport since it opened in 1969. This new development will allow the airport to meet passenger demand and improve the customer experience for generations to come. Among its lofty goals is to support Houston Airports' vision to make IAH airport a five-star airport and its success is a significant component in making that happen. Houston is the fourth-largest city in the country and serves as a logistics hub. An airport has an enormous economic impact on a city and the ITRP builds capacity and greatly enhances the passenger experience. ITRP brings new technologies, modern concessions, local artwork and aesthetically pleasing design.
