Ultra-low-cost Mexican carrier Viva Aerobus announced today its new year-round service from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Queretaro, Mexico. Starting on December 2, this nonstop route will operate four days per week. This route builds on Viva's expansion into the US and Houston, a city also offering flights to Guadalajara, Leon, Mexico City and Monterrey. Tickets are already available, offering one-way fares for as low as USD $79 plus taxes.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently reinstated Mexico’s aviation safety rating to the highest level and now Mexican airlines may operate under a Category 1 safety rating.
