Ready for summer: More than 600 new parking spaces open at Bush Airport

The opening of additional spaces inside the Terminal C/D/E Garage marks a significant milestone for Houston Airports as it completed another step in the IAH Terminal Redevelopment Program (ITRP).

HOUSTON- Passengers departing from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) can now enjoy a smoother and more convenient start to their journeys with the opening of over 600 new parking spaces across two new levels of the Terminal C/D/E Parking Garage.

This additional parking is the latest milestone achieved by Houston Airports as construction on the highly anticipated new international terminal steadily progresses.

“Houston Airports just welcomed a record-setting 60.1 million passengers in 2023, and with more destinations and more flights connecting more of the world to Houston, it’s imperative that Houston Airports continue to expand and enhance its infrastructure to meet growing demand for a world-class airport experience,” said Jim Szczesniak, Director of Aviation for Houston Airports. “The additional garage parking spaces allow more guests to park within a 5-minute walk to the terminals, creating added convenience and ensuring an efficient experience from garage to gate.”

Enhanced Convenience

The new parking spaces are a component of ITRP, which will result in a new state-of-the-art international terminal at IAH. The redevelopment program is being completed in scheduled phases, with full completion set for 2025.

The parking spaces can be reserved online at www.Fly2Houston.com/parking at a discounted rate at least 12 hours before arriving to the parking garage. Reserving parking online is the only way to guarantee parking, especially during peak travel periods like the upcoming Memorial Day holiday travel period.

Additional parking in the Terminal C Garage will support all five terminals at Bush Airport, as guests are able to connect to all terminals via the Subway or Skyway trains.

What’s Next

Later this summer, Houston Airports will open the new Terminal D-West Pier, which expands the existing Terminal D by 6 wide-body gate or 10 narrow-body gates depending on the aircraft. The Pier also creates space for even more restaurants and shops and amenities, like a Sensory Room, Companion Care Changing Room and playground.

This winter, the first phase of the new International Central Processor (ICP) will open, allowing United Airlines passengers flying out of Terminal E access to the new facility.  Late next summer, more than a dozen foreign flag carriers will move into the ICP completing ITRP.
