The FAA grant will fund the modernization of restrooms inside Terminal D and Terminal A, which is one of the oldest terminals at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
HOUSTON- The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Houston Airports $5.49 million under the Airport Terminal Program, which is funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The complete list of airports benefiting from the FAA funding can be found here.
The grant money will fund the expansion, reconstruction and modernization of at least 10 restroom facilities in Terminals A and D. The funds will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing sustainable and modern restroom facilities beyond TSA checkpoints, near Gates.
Terminal A, one of the two original terminals at Bush Airport since 1969, will undergo a significant upgrade. The FAA funding allows for the implementation of sustainable and modern design elements, ensuring a comfortable and state-of-the-art restroom experience for passengers. Additionally, the funding will contribute to the ongoing revitalization efforts in Terminal D.
