Scott Hill is the Chief Maintenance Officer for Houston Airports, overseeing critical operations to ensure the smooth functioning of airport facilities. He reports to the Chief Operating Officer, Kelly Woodward. As Deputy Director of Maintenance, Hill is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the following services across all three airports:
- General Maintenance (Insourced) Services
- Outsourced Maintenance Services
- Small Construction
- Horticulture & Grounds Maintenance Services
- Fleet Maintenance Services
- EAMS Documentation
- Quality Assurance (QA) - Maintenance
Hill has more than 15 years of service with Houston Airports, with the last five years in an executive leadership role overseeing maintenance at all three airports. He has led the Houston Airports Maintenance Division through successful FAA 139 inspections, Skytrax audits, emergency responses and airport enhancements, leading to improved on-time completion of maintenance tasks.
He holds the following degrees and certifications:
- Master’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Political Science.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aeronautical Science.
- Associate degree from Community College of the Air Force in Electronic System Technology.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
- Sustainable Facility Professional (SFP) certification from the IFMA.
Hill worked as a part-time professor at San Jacinto College for several years. His journey into aviation maintenance began in the U.S. Air Force, where he honed his skills and laid the foundation for his career. Hill enjoys reading and spending free time with his family.
