Gary High is the Chief Development Officer for the Infrastructure Division of Houston Airports.
As Chief Development Officer, High is responsible for:
- Management of the Infrastructure team, including Construction Management, Project Delivery, Design, Project Controls, Building Standards Group, Quality Assurance, and the City Engineer.
- Communicating on behalf of Houston Airports regarding all construction-related endeavors in alignment with the Houston Airport System’s overarching Strategic Goals.
- Represents Infrastructure Division’s interests when collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on current and future developments.
High is the former HAS Assistant Director of Construction Management. He is responsible for ensuring the Infrastructure Division supports the HAS’ mission, vision, core values and strategic priorities. He leads the division in on-time delivery of the HAS Capital Improvement Program with a focused goal to improve reliability, resilience, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. High works to extend the life of HAS’ infrastructure assets by evaluating current conditions, focusing on constructability, cost, efficiency, and life safety in order to provide exceptional customer experience.
High contributes to the team over two decades of experience in construction management. Prior to joining HAS, he worked in the private sector of construction, serving in multiple senior leadership positions with experience managing all aspects of comprehensive project delivery.
Gary earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Houston. He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, an active holder of a PADI Diving Certification, and in his free time, he enjoys water activities with his son.
