Fat Cat Creamery, The Spot and Velvet Taco will be among the first permanent dining concepts to open inside North America’s only 5-Star airport.
Colorful renderings and expansive signage help passengers imagine the new culinary experience coming soon to William P. Hobby Airport. Houston Airports began transitioning Hobby’s food and beverage program in May 2023. Creative advertisements pinpoint where new dining options like Killen’s Bar-B-Que, The Rustic, SpindleTap Brewery and Common Bond Café will soon be.
A total of 20 permanent dining concepts will open between fall 2023 and winter 2024. The new selection of distinct and fun culinary options will celebrate Houston's mouth-watering and signature flavors. The eclectic mix of local favorites and trusted national brands will strengthen a sense of place within the airport.
In the meantime, 13 temporary dining options allow Hobby Airport to continue offering hot and fresh food without interruption to the passenger experience as the concessions program continues its phased transition. Airport guests can still expect to receive 5-Star customer service.
Earlier this month, a passenger emailed Houston Airports to compliment the customer service at the Streat Bar. The passenger wrote, “Great service and personality in the morning! Jessica is great!”
“We know our passengers have options and we are grateful they choose to fly Hobby Airport. We take great care in elevating the passenger experience” said Francisco Cuellar, Chief Commercial Development Officer for Houston Airports. “We pride ourselves in offering world-class customer service as we redefine what airport dining can be. We can’t wait for passengers to enjoy Houston’s diverse food scene without ever leaving our terminal.”
