William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is gearing up to embark on Phase 2 of its ambitious four-phase plan to enhance the passenger experience with a brand-new food and beverage portfolio. Scheduled to commence construction in April, Phase 2 will introduce an exciting array of dining options, including The Rustic, Throughgood Coffee, Chick-fil-A, Pei Wei and dual Starbucks locations conveniently situated on either end of TSA security.

Building upon the success of Phase 1, which saw the introduction of local favorites like The Spot, Velvet Taco and Fat Cat Creamery and national brands like Dunkin’, Phase 2 aims to elevate the airport's offerings to new heights.

"The commencement of our second phase of construction marks another significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to transform William P. Hobby Airport into a premier travel hub," said Francisco Cuellar, Chief Commercial Development Officer for Houston Airports. "We are excited to partner with even more local favorites while building upon our lineup of trusted national brands, which together deliver an enhanced dining experience to our passengers."

The Rustic, known for its laid-back atmosphere and farm-to-table cuisine, will offer travelers a taste of authentic Texan hospitality. Throughgood Coffee will provide a cozy retreat for coffee enthusiasts, serving up a selection of artisanal brews and freshly baked pastries. Chick-fil-A will satisfy cravings for delicious chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, while Pei Wei will offer travelers a delectable range of Asian-inspired dishes.

In addition, the inclusion of dual Starbucks locations on either end of TSA security ensures that passengers can easily grab their favorite coffee beverages and snacks before embarking on their journey or during layovers. Both Starbucks locations will offer mobile ordering.

"We are committed to providing our passengers with a memorable and enjoyable travel experience," said Libby Hurley, Assistant Director of In Terminal Sales for Houston Airports. "Phase 2 of our concessions package represents our dedication to meeting the evolving needs and preferences of our travelers, and we are confident that these new dining options will offer a food and beverage experience unlike any other airport.”

As construction gets underway, Hobby Airport remains fully operational, with minimal disruptions anticipated during the implementation of Phase 2. Houston Airports will offer grab-and-go food and beverage options for purchase in the ticketing lobby since the pre-security concessions space will be closed to accommodate the construction of a Starbucks. Passengers can expect to see these exciting new dining establishments open their doors this summer.
