ecopark 2 will offer a cost efficient on-airport parking option, including quick access to the terminal buildings via a free 24/7 shuttle service.
Construction is almost complete on a second economy parking lot offering 2,200 covered spaces at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). Passengers will be able to enjoy convenient and affordable covered parking on May 1.
Like the current ecopark lot at IAH, ecopark 2 will offer a cost efficient on-airport parking option, including quick access to the terminal buildings via a free 24/7 shuttle service.
The project addresses an increased demand, where record-setting passenger numbers continue to rise. Almost 43 million passengers traveled through Bush Intercontinental Airport in 2015 — and those numbers are expected to steadily rise.
“Our customers want affordable and convenient parking options, and the new ecopark 2 lot will get them to and from the terminals quickly for only $5 a day,” said Parking Marketing Manager Anthony Shipp.
The current ecopark lot at IAH offers access to more than 8,500 parking spaces, with 1,650 of those providing drivers with a covered spot.
Reservations will be available for both ecopark lots and can be made online. Otherwise, parking availability is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
