WANTED: Friendly Volunteers for Houston's Airports
Are you customer-focused, reliable, efficient, outgoing and friendly? Do you possess good communication skills and the ability to work independently and know how to take the initiative to get the job done? If your answer is YES. We need YOU!
Volunteers perform the following duties:
- Greet airport visitors coming to Houston for business or personal travel
- Provide general information at the various information booths
- Walk around inside the terminal buildings at IAH and HOU
- Free parking privileges
- Concession discounts
- National recognition
- Appreciation luncheons
- An opportunity to meet global leaders
About the Program:
Volunteers are an essential part of the airport team. Volunteers greet airport customers, answer questions, provide general information, staff the information desks, help with VIP escorts, assist in emergencies, irregular operations and participate in special events.
Volunteers receive cool perks like free parking, concessions discounts, appreciation luncheons and opportunities to meet global leaders.
Once on board, the volunteer is assigned and trained by a volunteer mentor prior to receiving assignment duties.

How to Apply:
To be considered as a volunteer, applicants must first complete a 10-year background check so they may be allowed to work in secured areas of the terminals.
We know volunteers have busy schedules and appreciate that they have chosen to volunteer with Houston Airports. Volunteers are asked to work only four hours each week but, of course, more hours are appreciated if the volunteer can accommodate.
