HOUSTON—Volaris continues to strengthen air connectivity between the United States and Mexico with the launch of two new nonstop routes from Houston, Texas, to the Mexican cities of Querétaro and Puebla. The route to Querétaro will begin operations on June 1, while service to Puebla will start on June 2. Both routes will operate with three weekly flights, and tickets will be available for purchase starting this Thursday, May 29.

With these new services from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Volaris reinforces its commitment to bringing communities closer together, expanding cross-border mobility and offering greater travel options between Texas and central Mexico.

Volaris now serves 24 airports across the United States, positioning the airline as the second-largest international carrier in the country. The airline continues to strengthen service for Visiting Friends and Relatives (VFR) travelers, particularly in key markets such as Texas and the Midwest, offering more nonstop options and greater seat capacity.

The new routes will provide travelers with direct and convenient access to two key regions of Mexico, supporting travel for visiting friends and relatives, business travelers and tourists, while strengthening Houston’s role as a strategic gateway between both countries.

“These new routes reflect Volaris’ vision of continuing to build bridges between Mexico and the United States through affordable and reliable air connectivity,” said Holger Blankenstein, Executive Vice president of Volaris. “Houston is a key market for the airline, and these connections to Querétaro and Puebla strengthen a network designed to serve the needs of our binational communities.”

“As a world-class city with global reach, Houston is a premier gateway to Latin America and the south-central United States, connecting people, businesses, cultures and economies across the region. These new nonstop routes expand summer travel options while supporting economic growth, tourism and business opportunities in Houston, Querétaro and Puebla.” New Volaris routes from Houston

Volaris began operations in Houston in 2015. Since then, the airline has transported 1.5 million Customers and currently operates five routes from the city to Guadalajara, Mexico City, Morelia, and San Luis Potosí in Mexico, as well as to San Salvador in Central America.

With these additions, Volaris continues to expand its presence in Texas, one of its most important markets in the United States, while strengthening connectivity to central Mexico’s growing economic and cultural regions. Flights will be available for booking starting Tuesday February 3, at volaris.com, and the Volaris mobile app.
