Hobby Airport Upper-Level Ramp Is Now OPEN
The upper-level roadway/drop off ramp opens six weeks early.
A major roadway pavement replacement project that shut down the upper-level roadway at Hobby Airport opened to the public the morning of July 20, 2012, six weeks ahead of schedule.
Passenger Drop Offs
The upper-level roadway is now open to thru traffic and the passenger drop off procedures are back to normal, meaning there will be no more detours through the parking garage. Upon dropping off traveling customers, drivers will be able to stop momentarily while passengers gather their traveling items.
Customers being dropped off at the curbside check-in and on the U-Ramp will be able to use the main lobby entrance doors or the doorways located to the west side of the terminal.
Airline Ticketing Counters
Upon entering the main entrance doors, Southwest Airlines can be found on the right side of the Terminal Lobby.
For all other airlines: Upon entering the main doors, take a left, pass Pappas Bar-B-Q, proceed straight, take a left at the Hudson corner store. This is where AirTran, American Airlines, Delta, jetBlue are located.
Curbside check-in for Southwest Airlines customers can be found on the second level, next to the main lobby entrance.
Passenger Pick Ups
Drivers who are on-site to pick up arriving passengers are encouraged to use the Passenger Pick Up Waiting Lot located off of Airport Boulevard. The lot allows drivers to park and wait for the arriving passenger free of charge. For a map, please visit fly2houston.com/PickUpLot.
For those wishing to greet arriving passengers inside the airport, please be aware that parking at Hobby Airport is limited; be prepared to park off-site.
